The Unknown's Gallery page is being moved to a Subreddit

We think discussions on unidentified figures would be better placed on the LMW subreddit rather than on the wiki.

One of the biggest advantages of a forum-like environment such as Reddit, is the ability to have threaded conversations that don't have to be constantly erased (as happens on the wiki). So far the responses from most people have been positive or at least encouraging, but not all are willing to make the leap to the subreddit for this - there is a fundamental simplicity in keeping everything on the wiki with just the one login account. Hopefully, by actually using the subreddit, the advantages of this more versatile approach will become clear.

Arghhh! the frustration of not having all the info you need on a figure!

Have Pic, Need Info? First try out our New! TOPICAL GALLERIES to identify your figure. Then, if you still can't find what you need to know, post the pic here (one fig/manufacturer's group to a pic!) and wait for an answer. If someone knows, they may answer you, or at least give you a clue or best guess with a (?). If you want to know something specific that is missing from a partial description, insert (?): for instance, if you want to know the year of first release, edit in (19??) or (20??) or (year?).

Have Info, Need Pic for the Wiki? Edit in the same filename that is used on the page where the pic belongs and add the description. If a member has a pic, they can easily upload it through this page. Want a better pic posted? Do the same, but add "BETTER PIC REQUESTED" to the bottom of the description.

Maintain your own section of entries on this page as you like, but limited to a maximum of twelve, and we reserve the right to reduce this down to four - at any time, if more members submit, so keep a separate gallery page for your unknowns: just click the link provided to create the page or edit in the link of your existing gallery at the bottom of your row(s) here, where the dummy code for it is provided. TIP: If you copy your row here and put it on your homepage gallery of unknowns as your four most wanted identified, you will never have to add pics to this page - just be sure to edit out the answers here when you change your homepage most wanted row pics. If you have a sorted home unknowns gallery like Stephengroy (our example row), then you can just plop your most wanted filenames into the code here as you like and check it for responses.

New Members: Please follow the pattern and add your own mini gallery in its alphabetical place, keeping to the current limit.

Be sure to glance all the way through these on a regular basis (so as not to cheat the late alphabeticals) to find your answers and help in kind. It won't take long to do this, or to edit in one or two answers each time you come here.

NEW COLOR RULE: Bolding seems to be a good convention for definite ID's, but it isn't purposeful enough, since people posting unknowns may want to bold them just to get attention. Use instead the traffic light rule for indicating the truth of the text:

red for erroneous info (it may still be of use determining the correct ID)
amber for a fairly sure guess
green for an absolute (provable) correct ID.
Once the text has all turned green, it's ready for being put into its rightful place among the stars!

NEW PIC RULE: Please limit the number of figs per pic to ONE, otherwise the text gets overlong, ugly, and a pain to edit; also, you risk losing out on a good viewing on a quick glance through the page by others.

Remember to check the "Watch this page" box after your first edit. Don't keep those answers received to yourself - post them on the appropriate page while they're fresh in your mind, and if you know anything more about the figure that isn't given, please add it in! Now, let's get to getting some answers!

NOTE: Record the details of any base markings found on the figure. This will greatly improve the chances that somebody will be able to identify it.
