Cautions: The collection is sorted not by name, but by unpainted visual appearance, in this case, that of an unnaturally small humanoid (significantly smaller than 1 inch in standing height to top of head) with the defining minor modifications given under the section titles. So what you might know as a "gnome" may not be listed under the gnome heading if the figure is the same size and proportion as a dwarf (Heritage gnomes are classified here as dwarves for this reason). Humanoids that are not significantly smaller than human will be found in the Humanoids collection (Tolkien's elves for instance - but not Pini's wolfrider elves, which will be included here). For Extraterrestrial humanoids, see Diminutive Aliens. Since this collection will exceed the page length limit, links will be provided for each category as they become overlarge. Also, the collection cannot be expected to be kept up to date, as it is not the main purpose of this wiki to indulge the viewer with these special galleries; hence, a proper search should ensue if your figure cannot be quickly identified from this gallery.
To find the identity of the figure: Simply click on the thumbnail, then, on the page with the pic, scroll down to see what links to that pic and follow the links.
Editors: Please observe the rules and requests at the top of the edit page.
Sculptors: Take note what categories seem neglected!
Collectors: Enjoy the eye candy!
Notes: Incorporeal Poltergeists are listed in the Classic Horrors gallery; sculpts that look corporeal will be listed here. Many of these search terms were derived from traditional definitions of such "Little People"; any sculpt with a modernized redefinition that is found to not fit visually here will be removed to a more fitting gallery (Bugbears, for instance).
See the Humanoids gallery for:
Elf/Elves/Elven, Dark Elves/Drow/Drou: Most elf sculpts are based on the taller, Tolkienesque definition rather than the traditional house elf version, and so the default gallery becomes the Humanoids one. Notable exceptions to this are the shorter Pini Elfquest wolfrider elves, which we will try to include on this page. Any other elf figure found to be substantially shorter than human will (in time) be moved back to this page.
Likewise, the hobgoblins will also likely be moved to the Humanoids gallery due to modernized hobgoblin size.
See the Big People gallery for Trolls as a default due to modern interpretation that increased their size. Trolls found to be significantly smaller than human will be returned to this gallery (in time). Likewise, though traditional Vampires were viewed as "Little People," they are now in the Classic Horrors gallery for modern size and distinctive mien and dress.
See the Half-Humans gallery for peoples with wings, or other non-human features (winged fairies, gremlins, Satyr/Satyress, etc.). Winged imps will be included in the Devils & Demons gallery.
GNOMES & DWARVES (near 3/4 human size, tend to be stout)
See Dwarves & Gnomes.
HOBBITS/HALFLINGS/HIBBOTS (about 1/2 human size, with hairy feet; tend to go barefoot)
See Tolkien's Creations.
LEPRECHAUNS (in obvious Irish dress, buckled shoes and hats)
SHORT ELVES - pointed ears and refined appearance
For taller, Tolkienesque Elves and Pini "High Ones," see the Humanoids gallery. Drow elves will be found also in the Humanoids gallery by default (due to modern resizing).
Female Short Elves
UGLY LITTLE FOLK
Gollum, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Half-Orcs, Bugbears and Kobolds have been removed to Goblins.
NYMPHS - Thin, beautiful females, dressed in minimal natural clothing (or naked)
BROWNIES & OTHER NON-WINGED FAIRY-KIN (less than 1/4 human size)
LITTLE PEOPLE WITH WINGS
(May relocate due to wings ;) )
Fairy Kin (insect-winged)
Gremlins (bat-winged)
Similar to Imps, but too technologically inclined to resort to pitchforks. Much smaller than Gargoyles.
Sprites (bird-winged, but not child-like)
Putti: Cupids (bird-winged little Angels)
These tend to be very childlike, even babyish. See Cupids.
