Possible Citadel Shields

Very, very likely almost all of the following were produced by Games Workshop / Citadel. Any help confirming their origin or about when they were first introduced would be appreciated. Many of these will be obvious but if someone can quickly point me in the right direction that would be great. Cattwister 12:43, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

Second Row, Forest Goblins.

Thanks, but I've not tracked them down as Forest Goblin shields - there is ©2000 on that sprue and I think they were first released as Goblin Regiment shields... Cattwister 22:21, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

Aren't they the shields for the goblin wolf riders?

Thanks. Yep - so they are. That same sprue was put in both the Goblin Regiment and Goblin Wolf Riders Regiment boxes. Cattwister 12:42, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

All the different shields with holes are documented in the 1991 Citadel Catalogue, page 328 [1].

And those names are as good as any to go by for identifying them. They were never consistently used though, since both RRD3 (Orcs) and DRAG7 (High Elves), for example, came with the Chaos Shields. Another catalogue page is the 1993 Black Catalogue, page 502 [2]. Cattwister 14:07, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

The shields with holes in were also produced in black plastic, anyone know what they were used for?

I've just watched a copy of the old Skeleton Horde box set finish eBay [3]. It had one sprue of black Undead Shields. No guarantee they were originally with the set but no reason to doubt it either. Another copy of the same set currently on eBay only has the grey versions. Cattwister 17:43, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
